Stacy Feld

Head, Johnson & Johnson Innovation,

West North America, Australia and New Zealand

Stacy is Head of Johnson & Johnson Innovation, West North America, Australia & New Zealand, located at the Innovation Center in South San Francisco, California. In this role, she leads the Innovation Center team to build, advance, and manage a portfolio of co-investments and collaborations spanning the pharmaceutical, consumer health and medical device sectors. Stacy is also responsible for expanding and nurturing the external networks within the innovation community, including academia, venture capital, entrepreneurs and other governmental and private organizations. 

 

Stacy has more than twenty years of diverse business experience translating innovative science and technology into transformative commercial solutions for patients and consumers. She has held a range of leadership positions in the healthcare, biotech, life sciences and consumer health sectors as a business development executive, venture capital investor, business and innovation strategist and transactional attorney.

 

Prior to her position as Head of Johnson & Johnson Innovation, West North America, Australia & New Zealand, Stacy was Vice President of Consumer Venture Investments and External Innovation and a team member of Johnson & Johnson Innovation – JJDC, Inc. (JJDC). During her three-year tenure at JJDC, Stacy was globally responsible for the growth and management of the Consumer Health equity portfolio and led consumer health and health technology venture investing on the investment team. Under her leadership, the Consumer Health portfolio grew threefold, adding innovative scientific and technological solutions including branded consumer health products and digital health solutions. 

 

Stacy joined Johnson & Johnson Innovation in 2014 as the Senior Director of Consumer Scientific Innovation at the California Innovation Center, where she was responsible for the identification, assessment and execution of partnerships and collaborations to onboard strategic value assets for the Consumer Health sector. 

 

Prior to joining Johnson & Johnson, Stacy was a partner at Physic Ventures, a venture capital firm investing in health and sustainability, where she led investments in personalized health solutions that empower consumers to improve their health and wellbeing. Stacy has also been active in the design and execution of science-enabled innovation strategies, business incubation and spin-off opportunities, advising senior management of global enterprises in the consumer product goods industry and pre-commercial and commercial-stage start-ups in the personalized health and medical technology sectors. Prior to joining Physic Ventures, Stacy held leadership positions in the business development groups at Genentech and Third Wave Technologies and was a technology transactions attorney at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati. 

 

Stacy is an advisor to Springboard Enterprises’ Life Sciences Council, UCSF Clinical and Translational Research Institute T1 Catalyst Program, a mentor for C-Sweetener and a member of the Advisory Council for the University of Texas Horizon Fund and the Investment Advisory Committee for the Reproductive Health Investors Alliance. Stacy has been recognized by Pharm Exec as a 2016 Emerging Leader and in 2018 was named in the Top 10 Global Corporate Venturing Rising Stars.

 

Stacy earned her B.A. in Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania and received her J.D. from Vanderbilt Law School.

Carolyn Magill

Chief Executive Officer, Aetion

Carolyn is the CEO of Aetion, the digital health company delivering the platform that turns real-world data into the regulatory-grade evidence needed to inform health care’s most critical decisions: which treatments work best, for whom, and when.


Before Aetion, Carolyn held leadership roles at three companies central to the shift from volume to value in health care. As CEO of Remedy Partners, she led the premier company for bundled payments software and services. As Executive Vice President of Payer Strategy and Operations at Evolent Health, she led the team responsible for establishing value-based contracts on behalf of health systems and provider-led health plans. During her four year tenure, Evolent progressed from start-up through IPO to become a major force in health systems embracing population health.


For the preceding eight years, Carolyn served in leadership positions in the Medicare and Medicaid businesses of UnitedHealth Group. Her roles included Chief Operating Officer of its Community and State plan in New Jersey, and the national Vice President of Medicare Special Needs Plans, supporting people with multiple chronic illnesses and limited incomes.


Carolyn has an undergraduate degree from Harvard University and an MBA in health care management from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. She serves on the board of the Center for Health Policy Development, and of Parity.org, an organization that aims to close the gender gap at the highest levels of business.

Jessica DaMassa

Executive Producer & Host, WTF Health Show

Jessica DaMassa is a health innovation consultant and the Executive Producer and Host of the ‘WTF Health - What's the Future, Health?’ Show. Through WTF Health, Jessica will cover 17 different health tech conferences in 11 different countries over this next year, in effort to talk to everyone everywhere about the future of the health industry and WTF is wrong with it right now.


Jessica continues to consult with healthcare companies on innovation initiatives including building new brands, launching new products and refining their value proposition messaging.


Previously, Jessica gained experience working on healthcare brand strategy and innovation at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida (Florida Blue) and a boutique consulting firm specialized in healthcare and manufacturing.

 

Seth Duncan

Chief Analytics Officer, W2O

 

 

Seth Duncan has led research and analytics teams for over 10 years in both academic and business settings. Since 2007, Seth has focused on using digital and social media data to provide marketing, communications, and strategy insights to a range of clients, including Warner Bros., General Mills, Procter & Gamble, IBM, HP, Medtronic, Genentech, Amgen, and Abbott Laboratories.

 

Seth’s analytics and research expertise span advanced statistics, social, digital, and Web analytics, as well as traditional media and primary research. He has extensive experience applying these analytics approaches to a broad set of use cases, including product development and design, branding, creative content and execution, messaging, social and Web optimization, and influencer and media relations. He was named one of Holmes Report’s “In2 Innovators of the Year” in 2015.

 

Seth earned a BA in psychology from Reed College and an MS in Psychophysiology at San Francisco State University. He also attended Boston College’s PhD program in cognitive, affective, and behavioral neuroscience and the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology graduate program.


Harlan Levine, M.D.

President, Strategy and Business Ventures, City of Hope

Dr. Harlan Levine is president of strategy and business ventures for City of Hope and a member of the CEO Council. In these roles he is accountable for strategy, growth, innovation, business development, product commercialization, payer strategies, and the Center for International Medicine.


Prior to City of Hope, he served as executive vice president of Anthem, Inc., the executive leadership team member leading the Comprehensive Health Solutions division, responsible for overseeing health and specialty management, pharmacy, and healthcare, retail and clinical IT strategy.

Prior to Anthem, Dr. Levine was the national practice leader for Tower Watson’s health management consulting practice. Before that, he served in roles of increasing clinical management responsibility, including as the first chief clinical officer of OptumHealth, a division of United Health Group, based in Minneapolis.

Dr. Levine has served on multiple advisory roles including for IBM’s Watson Healthcare Board of Advisors, Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative Board of Directors and Medtronic for Population Health. He currently serves as a board member of Active Life Scientific, and Intervention Insights, and is a strategic advisor for Quantum Health, and the Executive Advisory Council for California Lutheran University’s School of Management.

He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and licensed by the Medical Board of California. He earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard College, his medical degree from the University of California San Francisco, and interned at Mount Zion Hospital and Medical Center in San Francisco. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Health System in Los Angeles.


Aaron Strout

Chief Marketing Officer, W2O

Aaron Strout is the Chief Marketing Officer at W2O. He has 20 plus years of social media, mobile, online marketing and advertising experience, with a strong background in integrated marketing. Prior to joining W2O, Aaron spent time as the CMO of Powered Inc. (now part of Dachis Group), VP of Social Media at online community provider, Mzinga, and as Director of Digital Marketing at Fidelity Investments.


Aaron is the coauthor of Location Based Marketing for Dummies (Wiley) and writes a monthly mobile/location-based marketing column on Marketingland.com. He also recently launched the What 2 Know podcast (iTunes) which features industry leaders talking about innovation and best practices.


Aaron sits on the advisory boards of PRNews and PRSA Sillicon Valley. He lives with his wife and three children in Lafayette, CA.


Mona Siddiqui

Chief Data Officer, OCTO, Immediate Office of the Secretary, HHS

Dr. Siddiqui is the Chief Data Officer at the Department of Health and Human Services.


She is leading the effort to connect the nation's health care data through building an institutional infrastructure at the US Department of Health and Human Services. She is also leading the Department's AI Strategy and scaling data driven solutions through public private partnerships.


Dr. Siddiqui brings experience at the intersection of health data, strategy and innovation. She has previously worked at one of the largest health systems in the country implementing efficiency measures, providing strategic insights into changing physician payment structures, and delivering actionable data driven knowledge of health care policy decisions. She also has a deep understanding of the policy landscape having previously served in The Office of the Director at NIH with oversight of high risk trials and the opportunity to work with FDA, the office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation, leading the health work for the White House Social and Behavioral Sciences Team and most recently, working with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation on rapid cycle payment models for data driven technology based solutions.

Sandi Colner

Director, Lab & Life Sciences, Intel Corporation

Sandy is the Director of Lab & Life Sciences Segment at Intel Health. She is a results driven executive offering eighteen years’ experience in the health, IT and life sciences industries. She leverages a valuable blend of business acumen, strategic influencing, health expertise, and operational excellence to form cohesive teams motivated to achieve success. Sandy is considered a trusted advisor, adept at understanding customer and business priorities to drive win - win solutions.


Sandy hold a B.S. in Health Science from Pepperdine University and is a Certified Clinical Research Associate with ACRP.

Bryce Williams

Vice President, Lifestyle Medicine, Blue Shield of California

Bryce is the Vice President of Lifestyle Medicine at Blue Shield of California. He is a healthcare executive with a solid background in operational and financial management. Bryce's clinical and financial background has allowed for a diverse career including health insurance, academic research and start-up firms. His interests include innovative solutions, ranging from bench science to applied public policy, focused on transforming health and quality of life.
